Salsa Fresca | Pica de Gallo | Spanish Cruda | Salad Salsa

There are many names for this side dish. It’s a fresh side that goes with any meat or seafood. You can even have it on its own as a light salad. The ingredients are fairly simple. All you need to do is prep work and that’s just doing some chopping. I use this recipe as an extra topping on sweet potato nachos or in a wrap to give it a fresh garnish taste.

  • 6 Roma Tomatoes (cubed)
  • 1/2 cup White Onion (cubed)
  • 1/2 cup Cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 Jalapeno (finely minced)
  • 2 tbsp Lime Juice
  • 1 Garlic Clove (finely minced)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt


  • Chop up the Roma tomatoes and add in the remaining ingredients
  • Mix all of the ingredients together until combined
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve


Can be served with tacos, fajitas, and many meaty recipes to add freshness to the dish.
